The happiest blog post on Earth

This may or may not strongly resemble an email I sent out today:

On July 17th, 1955 Disneyland opened to the public for the first time! It has since become one of the world's most well-known cultural symbols and influential sources for innovation in entertainment and architecture. Not to mention it is the Happiest Place on Earth! We are lucky enough to be in CA for the 50th anniversary, but it only lasts a few more months!

I have done some research, looked around, and come up with pricing for a killer weekend at Disneyland, and I am looking for interns to join me. First, I have a few reasons why you should come and why now is a great time to go!! (I insult myself by suggesting that I even need to give you reasons to go to Disneyland). The package I worked out is for leaving friday, coming back monday night(we get the 3rd/4th off!), and includes hotel, transportation, 2 days of disney tickets, and 1 at universal studios! I planned for 4 people, and worked it out to ~$421/a person. And there are things we could cut out if you want. If you make $20/hour, this trip costs less than 3 days of work! And next monday and tuesday are paid vacation days which cover most of the cost of the trip. Let me clarify, you would be in Disneyland and getting paid for it!!! If a ride is 5 minutes, and you make $20 an hour, you just got $1.67 to ride that ride (before taxes)!

Reasons why spending next weekend at Disneyland is the best possible choice you can make this summer:

-It's the 50th anniversary of a great moment in history and celebrations are only for a few more months!*
- They have special things going on, like golden ride vehicle and extra "hidden mickeys", plus shows etc...
- Did you know THE magic lives at disneyland?
- The current fireworks show, according to disney fan sites, is probably the best one they've ever had, and thats good
- see attached photo, try not to flip out from excitement
- Terrific attractions (there are a ton, but here are a couple)
- Space mountain has some new changes!
- Soarin is an incredible ride, nuff said
- It's the happiest place on earth!
- According to Adam Stone, Urban Design professor at stanford:
"the greatest piece of urban design in the U.S. today is Disneyland"
(he said that a few years ago)
Disneyland defined the theme park and redefined malls and other urban centers

This plan is for leaving friday, spending Saturday and Sunday in disney and Monday at universal, coming back monday night. I include a bunch of prices here for your perusal, but the plan below includes Amtrack fees, rather than car rental. We can cut options(or add them!!!!) as the people going see fit.
